Base Metals

COPPER
Copper has been used for thousands of years and was the first metal to be used by humans. It’s similar to silver and gold in that it’s very ductile, malleable and is a good conductor of electricity. Unlike the precious metals, however, copper is relatively inexpensive, making it attractive for numerous industrial applications, including wiring, plumbing, circuitry, generators, motors, vehicle radiators, and home heating and cooling systems.

Types
1.LME A grade Copper Cathodes The major uses of copper cathodes are in the manufacture of copper rods for the cables and wires industry and copper tubes for consumer durable goods. Copper cathodes are also used for making alloys like brass, bronze and alloy steel, with applications in transportation, electrical appliances and machinery, defence and construction.

ALUMINIUM
Aluminium is an exceedingly versatile material. The range of forms it can take (from castings, extrusions, tubes, sheets, and plates, to foils, powders, and forgings) and the variety of surface finishes available (including coatings, anodizing, and polishing) means aluminium can be used in many products, most of which we use every day.

Types
1. Aluminum Ingots Directly a result of the refining process of Alumina and is the purest form of Aluminum. It’s used for the production of castings in the auto industry and in electrical applications. These are re-melted and further processed into a large number of products for various downstream applications.
